Eastern Mennonite University

Eastern Mennonite University is a four-year Christian liberal arts college focused on academics, peace and social justice. Located in Virginia's scenic Shenandoah Valley, EMU offers more than 50 undergraduate programs, a seminary, a world-renown Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, and graduate programs in conflict transformation, education, counseling and business administration. EMU professors challenge students academically and mentor them to live in a global context and follow Christ's call to witness faithfully, serve compassionately, and walk boldly in the way of peace. Our cross-cultural and peace-building experiences lead students to be of service in whatever their field. EMU athletes compete in NCAA Division III sports. Regular chapel services and other worship gatherings are integral to EMU, where students receive support for their faith explorations. Helpful ministry assistants are an active part of life in each dormitory. Approximately 40 religious groups are represented on campus; Mennonite students account for about 50 percent enrollment. Ethics, faith, and values are integrated into every course of study.
